BREAKING: Sanwo-Olu Orders Reopening Of Schools

Sanwo-Olu has ordered reopening of all schools in Lagos State, Nigeria’s Commercial City.
OnyxNews Nigeria reports that the Lagos State Government led by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has approved the re-opening of schools for all classes in public and private schools across the state starting from Monday, November 2, 2020.
Honourable Commissioner for Education, Mrs Folasade Adefisayo made this disclosure earlier today, Thursday.
Her words: “This has been an unprecedented year with the recent happenings that have regrettably led to frequent closure of schools with attendant learning disruptions faced by all children.”
“We pray and hope that there will be no more disruptions in the academic calendar. However, the State Government will always regard the safety of pupils/students, parents and all staff as a matter of priority.” She explained.
“We recommend that when schools resume on Monday, teaching and learning should continue unhindered till the end of the term.” She also said.
The Commissioner advised pupils/students to take their studies more seriously in order to recover the lost period.
Meanwhile, pupils/students in boarding schools are to resume on Sunday, Novermber 1.
The openining of schools in the state is coming after Governor Sanwo-Olu declared Curfew following the recent peaceful #EndSARS protest which turned bloody.
