In line with this announcement, some citizens who have not enrolled for their National Identification Number (NIN) have been struggling to get it in order to prevent their Sim from being deactivated.

OnyxNews Nigeria understands that this announcement also caused large number of applicants in NIMC offices across the country. To make registration easier the federal government launched a mobile app but yet the crowd in enrolment centres still keep increasing.
