Some residents of Oshodi in Lagos State Wednesday booed the new Inspector of General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba along the Oshodi-Anthony Expressway.

According to DAILY POST report, Baba was booed on Wednesday while en route to an event.

It was unclear what the IGP went to Lagos for, but, a source told DAILY POST that his visit would not be unconnected to the tension in some parts of the region over the planned June 12 protest.

When contacted, the state’s Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Muyiwa Adejobi was unable to speak with our correspondent. He, however, pledged to return the call.

It was gathered that the incident worsened traffic in the area as many were stuck for hours.
