Presidency Gives Update About Workers December Salary

The Presidency has dismissed as false a news report credited to President Buhari that government employees will not be paid this month’s salary due to a shortfall in budgetary allocation.
Speaking with State House correspondents on the apprehension generated by the news item, the Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu, urged government employees not to allow the false publication to startle them.
He said the constancy in the payment of salary by this administration, and President Buhari’s explicit compassion for the working class should be enough to calm their apprehension.
Mallam Garba Shehu called on peddlers of false publications to think hard about the implications of their actions, and desist from that.
