2023 Election: Dino Melaye Dumps Saraki For Atiku (Video)
The former lawmaker representing Kogi West Senatorial district, Dino Melaye has allegedly dumped his ally, the former Senate President, Bukola Saraki ahead of the 2023 presidential election.
There are indications that Melaye has thrown his whole support behind former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar.
Melaye in a video spotted online revealed why he is supporting the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the 2019 and not Saraki.
The former lawmaker while speaking at an interaction between Atiku and some senators in Abuja said he supports candidates and not aspirants.

Melaye said, “When I got in here, my ex-colleague said I thought you will not be here but somewhere else.

“And I told him that I have stopped following aspirants. I now follow candidates.”
The statement of the former lawmaker excited the lawmakers in the meeting.

The statement of the former lawmaker excited the lawmakers in the meeting.
Saraki had yet to officially declare his intention to contest in the forthcoming general elections under the main opposition party, the PDP.
Atiku on Thursday officially declared his intention to contest in the 2023 presidential election.
Atiku stated this while meeting with some lawmakers elected on the platform of PDP.
