Davido was shocked after a Twitter user who appeared to be a Burna Boy fan wished him death.

The Twitter user @Winco_3 shared a video of a massive crowd waiting for Burna Boy in Netherlands and wrote:

“Even Davido burial that would be free can’t pack this crowd, know your mate.”

Davido could not hold back from asking why the individual made such comment.

“So you want me to die? Reason being?

“What have I personally done to you to have you wish death on me. Anyways I’m not going anywhere! I will live life to the fullest,” Davido reacted.

Another Burna Boy fan also attacked Davido’s late mom.

Reacting to the attack, Davido said: “So sad what stanship has turned too, both within and external. My mama wey don die over 20 years ago what’s her own in this matter??”

The posts have got thousands of people talking on social media.

Many believed the renewed hatred from some Burna Boy’s fans must have come from the “new cats” statement made by Davido.

Days ago, Davido stirred a wave of criticisms on social media for labelling Burna Boy as a “new cat” of Afrobeats.

In an interview with Brut, Davido referred to himself and Wizkid as “pioneers in popularising Afrobeats”.

He said he is happy to witness talents like Burna Boy, Rema, Fireboy, Mayorkun, and Asake — whom he described as “new cats” — coming onto the scene.

He added that he believes the future of Afrobeats looks promising.

Since the interview, the fans of Burna Boy refused to backdown from comparing Davido’s achievements with that of the “African Giant.”
