Basketmouth, AY Lived In My Boys’ Quarters – Alibaba
Veteran comedian Alibaba revealed that popular comedians Basketmouth and AY Makun once lived with him in his Boys’ Quarters in the early days of their careers.
On a recent episode of ‘The Honest Bunch Podcast’, Alibaba discussed the early days of his career and how he helped nurture the careers of younger comedians, like Basketmouth and AY Makun.
He shared stories and anecdotes from his time as a mentor to these comedians on the podcast, hosted by Nedu.
He said, “Basketmouth and AY… When you think about it, these are people who were living in BQ [boys’ quarters] with me back in the days.”
Basketmouth and AY Makun have had a long-standing feud that has lasted for 17 years, but recently, Basketmouth publicly apologized to AY, and the two comedians have been on better terms since then.
In a sign of reconciliation, Basketmouth invited AY to perform at his recent concert in Lagos.
