Tinubu Set To Address Nigerians 7 a.m. On New Year Day
President Bola Tinubu is scheduled to deliver a New Year’s Day broadcast to the nation on Monday, January 1, 2024.
This announcement was made by the President’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, in a statement signed on Sunday.
The broadcast will be aired live at 7 am on the network service of the Nigeria Television Authority.
The statement reads, “JANUARY 1ST 2024: PRESIDENT TINUBU ADDRESSES THE NATION
“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will make a New Year’s Day broadcast to the nation on Monday, January 1, 2024, at 7 am.
Television, radio stations, and other electronic media outlets are enjoined to hook up to the network services of the Nigeria Television Authority and the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria for the broadcast.”
This upcoming broadcast will be President Tinubu’s fourth address to the nation since assuming office.
His first broadcast took place on Democracy Day, June 12, where he highlighted important issues.
Subsequently, on July 31, he addressed the nation to announce the Federal Government’s interventions following the removal of petrol subsidy.
Furthermore, on October 1, 2023, President Tinubu delivered a nationwide broadcast in celebration of Nigeria’s 63rd Independence Day.
The New Year’s Day broadcast holds significance as it provides President Tinubu with an opportunity to reflect upon the challenges and achievements of the previous year and outline his vision for the coming year.
