BREAKING: Tinubu Appoints Oladunjoye As NPC Commissioner, Resides Over FEC
President Bola Tinubu appointed Olayinka Oladunjoye as a federal commissioner of the National Population Commission (NPC).
Oladunjoye, who previously served as a commissioner of education and commerce and cooperatives in Lagos State, replaced Mrs. Bimbo Salu-Hudeyin, who was appointed by the Lagos state government.
The swearing-in ceremony took place before the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting at the Council Chamber in Abuja, which President Tinubu is presiding over.
In her oath-taking process, Oladunjoye pledged to collaborate with various stakeholders, emphasizing the use of technology for a more effective data-driven census.
Commissioner Oladunjoye spoke to the press after the ceremony, assuring the public of an inclusive and data-focused approach to census operations.
The FEC meeting, attended by officials such as the Chief of Staff to the President, National Security Adviser, and Secretary to the Government of the Federation, discussed various matters.
However, some members like the Minister of State for the Federal Capital Territory, whose house recently suffered a fire incident, and vacant positions like the Minister of Labour and the suspended Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation were absent from the gathering.
