Trump Slams Biden For Declaring Easter Sunday ‘Trans Day Of Visibility’
The call for an immediate apology from President Biden by Former President Trump regarding the declaration of Easter Sunday as Trans Visibility Day has stirred controversy.
Trump’s campaign characterized Biden’s actions as part of an ongoing attack on the Christian faith by the current administration.
The demand for an apology followed widespread outrage expressed by politicians and commentators over the decision to coincide the “Transgender Day of Visibility” with Easter Sunday.
House Speaker, Mike Johnson posted on X saying that “The Biden White House has betrayed the central tenet of Easter — which is the resurrection of Jesus Christ,” Banning sacred truth and tradition—while at the same time proclaiming Easter Sunday as ‘Transgender Day’—is outrageous and abhorrent. The American people are taking note.”
The statement by Trump’s national press secretary, Karoline Leavitt, condemned Biden’s proclamation, labeling it as both “appalling and insulting.”
She further criticized the administration for what she described as a pattern of undermining the Christian faith, pointing to the alleged ban on religious egg designs during the Easter Art Event as an example.
The clash over the declaration of Trans Visibility Day on Easter Sunday highlights the intersection of religious observance and broader societal issues.
It underscores the importance of sensitivity and inclusivity in public proclamations and the need for respectful dialogue between different communities and perspectives.
“We call on Joe Biden’s failing campaign and the White House to issue an apology to the millions of Catholics and Christians across America who believe tomorrow is for one celebration only — the resurrection of Jesus Christ,” she said.
Addressing such controversies requires a nuanced understanding of diverse beliefs and a commitment to fostering understanding and respect among all groups.
