‘People Say I’m Better Than Wizkid’ –Rapper, Speed Darlington
Speed Darlington, a Nigerian rapper known for his controversial style, has issued a stern warning to his fans, urging them to cease comparing him to Afrobeats sensation Wizkid.
The “Akpi” artist expressed his discontent, stating that numerous fans have been drawing parallels between him and Wizkid, with some even claiming he surpasses the Starboy boss.
Despite Wizkid once acknowledging him in New York, Speed Darlington emphasized that he and Wizkid have never met, and he has been active in the music industry for nearly eight years.
He strongly disapproves of the constant comparisons between him and Wizkid.
Speaking during a recent Instagram live session with fans, Speed Darlington fumed: “Why are people telling me that I am better than Wizkid? How do I and Wizkid correlate? Do you know how many years I’ve been in this industry? Seven years. Next year, May 17 or 16, I will be 8 years in the industry and I’ve never met Wizkid. Although he has previously acknowledged me in New York. He posted one of my songs. Please, stop the comparison.”
