Super Eagles Drop Eight Spots In Latest FIFA Ranking
Nigeria’s Super Eagles have slipped eight spots in the latest FIFA rankings, released on Thursday, falling from 30th to 38th place.
This decline follows a two-place drop in the previous ranking and comes on the heels of underwhelming performances in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, including a draw with South Africa and a loss to Benin Republic.
Despite this setback, the Super Eagles remain a top-five team in Africa, trailing only Morocco, Senegal, Egypt, and Cote d’Ivoire in the continental rankings.
