BREAKING: President Tinubu Embarks on Short Working Visit to Paris

President Bola Tinubu is set to depart Abuja today, Wednesday, April 2, 2025, for Paris, France, on a brief working visit.
During his time in Paris, President Tinubu will assess the mid-term performance of his administration and evaluate significant milestones achieved so far.
A statement from his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, indicated that the visit would also serve as an opportunity for the President to review the progress of ongoing reforms and engage in strategic planning ahead of his administration’s second-year anniversary.
“During the visit, the President will appraise his administration’s mid-term performance and assess key milestones. He will also use the retreat to review the progress of ongoing reforms and engage in strategic planning ahead of his administration’s second anniversary.”
The statement further emphasized that this period of reflection would guide future efforts to strengthen ongoing reforms and fast-track national development goals for the coming year.
It also highlighted recent economic achievements, with the Central Bank of Nigeria reporting a notable increase in net foreign exchange reserves to $23.11 billion, compared to $3.99 billion in 2023. This increase underscores the administration’s fiscal reforms.
While in Paris, President Tinubu will remain actively engaged with his team, continuing to oversee the country’s governance activities. He is expected to return to Nigeria in about two weeks.
“While away, President Tinubu will remain fully engaged with his team and continue to oversee governance activities. He will return to Nigeria in about a fortnight.”
