Police Identify Officers in Viral Video Taking Cash from Chinese, Launch Disciplinary Measures

The Nigeria Police Force has reacted to a viral video showing its officers receiving cash from a Chinese national, calling the act “unprofessional and unethical.” The incident, which has stirred public anger, led the police to identify the involved officers and begin disciplinary proceedings.
According to ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, “The actions of the officers do not represent the established ethics, standards, and core values of the Nigeria Police Force.” He assured the public that the officers are being disciplined and that the force remains committed to upholding its values.
The police also cautioned individuals and organizations using police services to desist from acts that could degrade officers’ integrity. The move is part of ongoing efforts to rebuild public confidence and ensure accountability in the force.
