Barcelona’s Stunning Comeback Secures 4-3 El Clasico Victory Over Real Madrid, Moves Closer to La Liga Glory

Barcelona delivered a breathtaking performance on Sunday to beat Real Madrid 4-3 in a pulsating La Liga clash at the Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys, taking a commanding seven-point lead at the summit with just three games left in the season.

Despite a hat-trick from Real Madrid’s Kylian Mbappe, Barcelona’s goals from Raphinha (two), Lamine Yamal, and Eric Garcia ensured the Catalans maintained their perfect record against Madrid this season.

Real Madrid began the match on the front foot, with Mbappe converting a penalty after being fouled by goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny and then scoring a clinical second goal in the 14th minute. His early brace threatened to swing the title race back in Madrid’s favor, especially after their recent Champions League semi-final exit.

Barcelona responded with urgency and quality. Eric Garcia’s header from a corner reduced the deficit, and the young sensation Lamine Yamal curled a beautiful shot to level the score. Raphinha then seized on a defensive lapse to score twice before halftime, giving Barcelona a 4-2 advantage.

Although Mbappe completed his hat-trick in the 70th minute, Real Madrid could not overturn the deficit. Barcelona’s defense, despite some mistakes, held firm, and a late goal by Fermin Lopez was disallowed for handball. The win puts Barcelona on the brink of their 28th league title, with only a minor miracle needed to prevent them from being crowned champions.

Hansi Flick praised his team’s resilience, saying, “For me, it’s not always fun, sometimes I suffer a lot,” while Carlo Ancelotti acknowledged defensive shortcomings: “We have to defend better, that is quite evident from today’s game.” Barcelona’s fans now look forward to potentially sealing the title this week.
