Iran Announces Opening Of Airspace After War
Iran has announced the reopening of its airspace, including over the capital, Tehran, after a closure that began on June 13 amid conflict with Israel, according to state media reports.
Authorities stated that both domestic and international flights will now operate from all airports nationwide — except those in Isfahan and Tabriz — between 5:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
Flights from Isfahan and Tabriz are expected to resume once the required infrastructure is restored, IRNA reported.
Iran had fully shut its airspace last month following a series of Israeli airstrikes that led to retaliatory missile attacks from Tehran.
A ceasefire between the two nations took effect on June 24.
Following the truce, Iran had already reopened airspace over its eastern region and broadened access for international overflights.
