FIFA CLUB W’CUP: Chelsea Thrash PSG To Win Award
Chelsea dominated Paris Saint-Germain with a commanding 3–0 victory in the Club World Cup final on Sunday.
Cole Palmer struck twice with near-identical curling efforts from the right side of the box, giving Chelsea a strong lead at MetLife Stadium.
He later set up João Pedro with a precise slide-rule pass for the third goal — Pedro’s third of the tournament since arriving at Chelsea.
The second half saw no further goals, as Enzo Maresca’s side comfortably saw out the win to add the Club World Cup to their UEFA Conference League triumph from last month.
PSG’s hopes of an unprecedented sextuple are over, but they’ll have another shot at silverware next month in the UEFA Super Cup against Tottenham.
