UEFA SUPER CUP: PSG Produce Late Comeback To Beat Tottenham
Paris Saint-Germain staged a stunning comeback to beat Tottenham Hotspur and claim this year’s UEFA Super Cup.
The Ligue 1 champions looked set for another final heartbreak after going two goals down to Spurs, with Micky Van de Ven and Christian Romero scoring from set-pieces.
As the clock ticked down, Lee Kang-in fired in a powerful strike to reduce the deficit.
In extra time, Ousmane Dembele’s driven cross was met by Goncalo Ramos, whose header made it 2-2.
The match went to penalties, where Van de Ven and Mathys Tel failed to convert from the spot.
Having lifted the Champions League in June, PSG have now added the Super Cup to their trophy haul.
