Ballon D’Or 2025: See Date, Time, List Of Nominees For Every Award

The 2025 Ballon d’Or awards ceremony is set to take place next week, honouring the standout men’s and women’s footballers of the 2024/25 season.

Unlike in previous years, players won’t have the chance to use the early months of the new campaign to strengthen their case for football’s most prestigious individual prize.

Europe’s top leagues delivered a blend of seasoned stars and breakout performers this season, making the race for the Ballon d’Or more competitive than ever.

PSG’s historic first Champions League triumph has boosted the chances of current favourite Ousmane Dembélé, though exceptional individual campaigns from the likes of Lamine Yamal, Raphinha, and Mohamed Salah suggest European silverware alone may not decide the winner when the awards are handed out on 22 September.

On the women’s side, England’s Euro 2025 triumph has brought several Lionesses into the spotlight. Arsenal duo Alessia Russo and Leah Williamson stand as strong contenders thanks to their Champions League heroics, while Spain’s Aitana Bonmatí, Alexia Putellas, and Mariona Caldentey remain firmly in the running.
