Why I Dump Christianity For Islam— Singer, Burna Boy Reveals
Grammy-winning Nigerian artist Damini Ogulu, better known as Burna Boy, has opened up about his ongoing struggles with faith, admitting that he still feels unfulfilled despite converting from Christianity to Islam in his quest for enlightenment.
In a recent interview with streamer Playboymax, Burna Boy revealed that the deeper he delves into religious texts in search of understanding, the more confused he becomes.
“Growing up, I was a Christian and then I converted to Islam. It’s like I’ve studied it all, but I’m still out here trying to find out what is really going on, you know? The more I research, the more confused I get,” he said.
He noted that his spiritual journey remains ongoing, as he continues to seek personal truth and clarity.
It is worth noting that fellow Nigerian singer 9ice also spoke about his spiritual path a few months ago, disclosing that he embraced the Ifa religion after enduring a “spiritual attack” that left him bedridden for six months.
In his viral interview with Nancy Isime, 9ice expressed regret that he hadn’t begun practicing the Ifa religion much earlier.
