Gunmen kill Nigerian Navy personnel, retired officer’s daughter in Kogi State

Gunmen on Thursday killed a Nigerian Navy officer alongside a retired officer, RAdmiral J. Onubi’s daughter along the Lokoja-Okene Expressway in Kogi State.
In a photograph sent to this online news platform, showed the navy personnel, identified as Petty Officer Lifu JI on camouflage shirt, as he laid lifeless at the driver’s sit.
While the orderly to the retired Rear Admiral, OS Ahmadu was said to have escaped into nearby bush.
A reliable source told Onyxnews Nigeria that the incident occurred at about 6:00pm.
This sad incident comes a few days after suspected gunmen killed a Nigerian Army officer, GSM Abubakar, along the same highway.
According to report sent to Onyxnews Nigeria, Abubakar, a captain attached to the 353 Artillery Regiment, Ojo, Lagos, was travelling from Lagos to the Armed Forces Command and Staff College, Jaji, in company of his wife and mother.
Abubakar was reported to be on his way to participate in this year’s junior officers course in Jaji when bandits opened fire on him, killed him instantly, and abducted his mother and wife.
