Gov Okpebholo Appoints Sulaiman Aledeh As MD, Edo Broadcasting Service
Governor Monday Okpebholo of Edo State has named Suleiman Aledeh as the new substantive Managing Director of Edo Broadcasting Service (EBS).
Aledeh’s extensive background as an international journalist and media consultant, spanning over two decades in radio and television journalism, makes him a fitting choice for the role.
Aledeh, a Philosophy graduate from the University of Benin (1999), kickstarted his media career at Edo Broadcasting Service while still in university.
He has brought his expertise to various renowned international news networks such as Al Jazeera, SABC, and GB News UK.
Presently, he hosts news programs at Arise News and offers his perspectives on Classic FM.
“He later served at Ebonyi Radio during his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) scheme, becoming the first corps member permitted to read the station’s major news bulletin.
“He further established his voice at the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, where he created and presented influential shows.
“His journey into national television began with one of Africa’s foremost media companies, where he anchored flagship news programs on TVC and Channels Television.
“His tenure at Channels TV further solidified his expertise in producing compelling television content, delivering some of the network’s most memorable promos, and covering significant events, including the 2011 and 2015 general elections.
“As the Assistant General Manager and Head of Media and Communications at Eko DISCO, Nigeria’s leading electricity distribution company, Aledeh demonstrated strong leadership in strategic communication.
“He is a Fellow of the Institute of Public Diplomacy and Management and an Associate of the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations.
“Sulaiman holds a Master’s Degree in Humanitarian and Refugee Studies from the University of Lagos and has served as a Special Correspondent and News Anchor at Arise News in London and Lagos,” the statement added.
