African China Joins 30 Days Rant Challenge, Criticizes Tinubu’s Government in New Song

Renowned Nigerian musician African China has joined the viral 30 Days Rant Challenge, using his latest song to critique the economic struggles under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.
In a video circulating on social media, the Ajegunle-born artist performed the song alongside his children. Titled Photocopy, the track condemns what he describes as the government’s gross mismanagement, holding the political class accountable for the country’s economic decline.
Staying true to his signature Galala sound, African China did not mince words in his lyrics, branding the current administration as corrupt and ineffective in addressing the hardships faced by Nigerians.
A striking element of the music video is the artist’s decision to wear a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) uniform, a symbolic show of solidarity with NYSC member Ushie Rita Uguamaye.
Uguamaye recently faced backlash from the corps management after publicly criticizing President Tinubu, labeling his leadership as disastrous. Her situation sparked widespread reactions, with many Nigerians rallying behind her by participating in the 30 Days Rant Challenge, where individuals share their personal struggles under the current government’s policies.
The campaign has gained momentum as inflation soars and unemployment rises, fueling dissatisfaction with Tinubu’s economic reforms, which critics argue have worsened living conditions.
Public figures have increasingly lent their voices to the challenge, amplifying concerns over the administration’s handling of the economy.
African China’s latest release continues his legacy of using music as a tool for activism. His 2006 hit Mr. President remains one of Nigeria’s most politically charged anthems, speaking against social injustice and government failures.
Now, with Photocopy, he reinforces his reputation as an artist unafraid to call out leadership failings through his music.
