What Islamic Chief did in Ghana due to coronavirus

The Chief Imam of Ghana, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Shrabutu reportedly suspended public Islamic religious activities and gatherings in order to prevent the spread of coronavirus in the country.
According to reports from Ghana, the Islamic leader, in a statement said the suspension is in line with President Akufo-Addo’s ban on all social gatherings including funerals, festivals, all religious activities, conferences and other events that call for gathering of people.
The Chief Imam also pointed out that the restriction of public gathering is in accordance with protocols contained in the Quran to preserve and ensure healthy lives.

The ban insinuates all Muslims in Ghana will now be observing their daily prayers at their homes for now.
Presently, the Ghana has six recorded cases of coronavirus and no death record yet.
Most countries in Africa are recording cases of the pandemic virus, as there have been frequent cases across the world.
Nigeria recorded it third case yesterday after announcing to be free from the virus.
Many industries, football clubs, schools and systems that can cause economy growth have been shut down to avoid the continuous spread of the virus.
