Shiites group send strong message to President Buhari’s government over coronavirus spread in Nigeria

The Islamic Movement of Nigeria known as Shiites has blamed the Federal Government over the persistent spread of coronavirus (COVID-19)across the country.
The group said that, “government negligence resulted in the spread.” of the disease at the first instance.
Shiites at a press conference in Kano, sent a deep pitiable message, saying “with deep sense of concern, we wish to express our dismay over the carelessness of the Nigerian authorities that led to the spread of the disease.”
The group also stressed by blaming the Nigerian government for neglecting its citizens at the initial outbreak of the deadly disease.
The leader of the movement in Kano, Sheik Sunusi Abubakar Koki said,“The spread of the disease from onset was due to the government indifference, disregard to the life and wellbeing of the citizenry and its inability to be proactive,”
Speaking through his member, Dauda Nalado BUK Kano, Sheik Sunusi said had it been government was proactive enough, the disease wouldn’t have speedily spread at first.
However, the Shiites urged Nigerians to endeavor to master all guiding instructions that will stop the further spread of the pandemic virus which include; washing of hands with soap, using protective wears.
In a similar way, the group called for the immediate release of their leader, Shiek Ibrahim Elzazzaki with other prisoners of the allegations making the rounds that an affected person was planted in the correctional center to infect the Sheik.
Meanwhile, Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has identified the second death of coronavirus case in the country.
Onyxnews Nigeria understands that Minister of Health, Dr. Osagie Enahire, had announced the death on Monday at a press briefing in Abuja, disclosing that the death occurred last weekend but refused to disclose the identity of the victim.
However, Reports on Tuesday from the South-East of Nigeria unveiled the victim involved in the sad incident, pointing in the direction of the CEO of Fancy Hotel, Owerri, Mr. Christogonus Aguwa Osuagwu, who recently returned from Europe, where coronavirus is at it peak.
