Bauchi Governor defies social distancing orders after recovering from coronavirus (Photos)

Onyxnews Nigeria reports that, inless than 24 hours after recovering from coronavirus, governor of Bauchi state, Bala Mohammed attended Juma’at service on Friday, 10 April, at a mosque which was filled to capacity.

Looking at the photos, Mohammed, wore face mask and gloves on his hands, sat beside his deputy, Baba Tela during the weekly Muslim congregational prayer which has been suspended across the country as a result of the deadly coronavirus.

And one of the pictures showed that the mosque was filled with more than 50 people.

On Thursday evening, Governor, Bala Mohammed had revealed that his current test of coronavirus has gone back to negative.

This reliable online news platform recalled that On Monday 25 March, Governor Mohammed tested positive to the COVID-19 and he has been under treatment since then. He was the first governor to contract the pandemic virus in Nigeria.

Governor Mohammed said, “I just received the green light. My second test for #COVID19 returned negative,” he said on Twitter. “I thank you all for your prayers and support even while I was in isolation. Most importantly, all the praises and thanks be to Allah –the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.

“My gratitude also goes to our religious leaders within and outside the state for their constant prayers, also our meticulous Bauchi #COVID-19 team and the @NCDCgov,” the Bauchi Governor added.
