Nigeria detects almost total 8000 cases of coronavirus, see breakdown for each state

Nigeria has recorded new cases of deadly coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic in the country.

Onyxnews Nigeria reports that the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) made the announcement that 313 new cases of deadly pandemic has been detected in Nigeria, making the total number of cases of the deadly virus 7839 in the country.

This reliable online news platform understands that the NCDC confirmed 313 new cases of COVID-19 via the micro-blogging site, Twitter on Sunday night, May 24.

NCDC recorded that of the 313 COVID-19 cases confirmed on Sunday night, 148 were detected in Lagos, 36-FCT 27-Rivers 19-Edo 13-Kano 12-Ogun 11-Ebonyi 8-Nasarawa 8-Delta 7-Oyo 6- Plateau 5-Kaduna 4-Kwara 3-Akwa Ibom 3-Bayelsa 2-Niger 1-Anambra, south-east Nigeria.

NCDC tweeted: “313 new cases of #COVID19; 148-Lagos 36-FCT 27-Rivers 19-Edo 13-Kano 12-Ogun 11-Ebonyi 8-Nasarawa 8-Delta 7-Oyo 6- Plateau 5-Kaduna 4-Kwara 3-Akwa Ibom 3-Bayelsa 2-Niger 1-Anambra 7839 cases of #COVID19 in Nigeria Discharged: 2263 Deaths: 226.”

Meanwhile, with the new cases of three hundred and thirteen (313), death cases are two hundred and twenty one (226) and dicharged cases are two thousand, and two hundred and sixty three (2263), so the total cases of the disease in Nigeria as on Sunday night, 24 May 2020 is seven thousand, eight hundred and thirty nine (7839).
