The South east state has finally joined states recorded with coronavirus (COVID-19) as Nigeria confirms new cases of the deadly pandemic, making the total number of the disease confirmed in the country, 24,567, Onyxnews Nigeria reports.

Onyxnews Nigeria reports that the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) made it public that 490 new cases of the pandemic infection have been detected in Nigeria, making all cases of the disease 24,567 in the country, with 9,007 discharged cases and 565 deaths.

NCDC recorded that with 490 COVID-19 cases confirmed on Sunday night, 118 were detected in Lagos, Delta-84, Ebonyi-68, FCT-56, Plateau-39, Edo-29, Katsina-21, Imo-13, Ondo-12, Adamawa-11, Osun-8, Ogun-8, Rivers-6, Kano-5, Enugu-3, Bauchi-3, Akwa Ibom-3, Kogi-1, Oyo-1, Bayelsa-1.
