BREAKING: Nigeria’s coronavirus (COVID-19) surpasses 28000

Nigeria has recorded new cases of COVID-19 pandemic, as total number of the disease surpassed 28,000, with Lagos detecting highest as usual, among all states.

Onyxnews Nigeria reports that the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) broke the news that 544 new cases of the deadly disease has been detected in Nigeria. Total number of the virus now 28,711 with 11,665 discharged cases and 645 deaths.

NCDC recorded that 544 COVID-19 cases confirmed on Sunday night, 199 were tested positive in Lagos, Ebonyi-65 Oyo-47 Ondo-46 Ogun-31 Edo-30 FCT-28 Katsina-25 Plateau-15 Bayelsa-11 Kaduna-10 Adamawa-10 Akwa Ibom-8 Gombe-7 Kano-4 Taraba-3 Rivers-2 Abia-2 Ekiti-1.

NCDC tweeted: “544 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; Lagos-199 Ebonyi-65 Oyo-47 Ondo-46 Ogun-31 Edo-30 FCT-28 Katsina-25 Plateau-15 Bayelsa-11 Kaduna-10 Adamawa-10 Akwa Ibom-8 Gombe-7 Kano-4 Taraba-3 Rivers-2 Abia-2 Ekiti-1.” The agency added: “28,711 cases confirmed 11,665 discharged and 645 deaths.”
