Presidency reacts to dissolving NDDC IMC

The Presidency has reacted to report going viral about the dissolution of the IMC of the Niger Delta Development Commission.
Onyxnews Nigeria reports that President Muhammadu Buhari’s Personal Assistant on New Media, Ahmad Bashir, dismissed the report that the Interim Management Committee of the Niger Delta Development Commission, has been dissolved.
This reliable online news platform recalls that the Senate on Thursday recommended to the President to dissolve the Interim Management Committee of the NDDC.
There had been speculations that the Spokespersons to the president, Garba Shehu, and Femi Adesina confirmed the dissolution of the committee.
But, Bashir in a post on microblogging site, Twitter, stated that the report is ‘fake’ and not from the Presidency.
“A rogue statement on the dissolution of the Interim Management Committee of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), attributed to both @FemAdesina and @GarShehu, is making the rounds on some social media platforms, esp. WhatsApp, the statement is FAKE, not from the Presidency,” he tweeted.
