President Buhari makes another appointment
President Buhari has made another appointment in less than 24 hours.
OnyxNews Nigeria reports that President Muhammadu Buhari has approved Hassan Danbaba‘s appointment as a part-time chairman of the governing board of the Sokoto-Rima River Basin Development Authority (SRRBDA).
This online news medium understands that the appointment of Danbaba, who is the Magajin Garin of Sokoto, was contained a letter signed on Friday by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha. The letter said the appointment took effect from Thursday, August 6.
The letter reads: “I am pleased to inform you that Muhammadu Buhari, President, Federal Republic of Nigeria has approved your appointment as Part-Time Chairman of the Governing Board of Sokoto-Rima River Basin Development Authority, Sokoto with effect from 6th August 2020.
“This appointment is at the discretion of Mr President and the allowances attached to your appointment are provided under the Category ‘B’ of Federal Government Agencies and statutory Corporations as specified in the circular Ref. No. SWC/S/04/S.310/T/65 of 8th April 2016,” the statement referred to Mr Danbaba read.
