At least 30 persons killed as petrol tanker explodes in Lokoja (Photos/Video)
Not less than 30 people were killed as tanker exploded in Lokoja, Kogi state capital.
Some Kogi State Polytechnic students, school bus conveying primary and secondary school students, residents and passers-by were reported to be burnt by the fire triggered by the explosion at Felele, Lokoja.
According to some eyewitnesses, the petrol tanker was coming from Okene while making its way to the northern part of the country and had break failure which led to the sad incident.
OnyxNews Nigeria gathered that the petrol tanker rammed other vehicles and exploded.
As at when filing this report, men of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and fire fighters are still at the scene of the explosion which started at about 8:30am taking control of the situation.
