Hamisu Ibrahim Chidari has emerged the new Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly.

On the other hand, Zubairu Hamza Masu from Sumaila local government has been appointed the new Deputy Speaker of the House of Assembly.

These developments came following the resignation of AbdulAziz Garba Gafasa as Speaker On Tuesday, December 15.

Gafasa resigned on a personal ground, though reports gathered stated that the Speaker quickly left his seat upon sensing that the House was moving to impeach him.

Also, the House Majority Leader, Kabiru Hassan Dashi resigned his position without giving any specific reason giving room for Abdul Labaran Madari to emerge the House Majority Leader.
