David King tribute to his demised father-in-law read thus:
“TRIBUTE TO MY FATHER-IN-LAW
_LATE CHIEF (ENGR) DONATUS OKEJI NWAFOR_
If wishes were horses,
I would change the propensity of death
I would love to see you one more time
And sit with you, tapping from your ultra-wisdom
But now I know it is impossible
As the heaven have called your name
O Papa,
The heaven have called your name
And I sit here in rumination just wishing
Somebody have told me you were going
For a chance to say I love you
For a chance to say I will miss you
Lo, I want to say good bye!
O yeah, Your name, yeah
Your name is inducted into the City of Glory
As God has called you to your resting place
Beyond eternality and reminiscence of you
My treasure you shall be!
Papa, rest on
And I say Good-Bye!
