BREAKING: CBN Places N7 USSD Transaction Fee On Nigerians

CBN has introduced N7.00 for every USSD request by Nigerian mobile telephone users.
The deal was part of an agreement reached with banks in the midst of a raging disagreement between banks and telecom organisations over USSD and other text message transaction requests.

The transaction has been free for years, but telecom outfits said the USSD service was expensive, saying over N42 billion in debt by banks.
