Presidency Speaks On Buhari’s Minister On US Watch-List Over Terrorism Links

Presidency has spoken on Buhari’s Minister reportedly on US watch-list over links with terrorism groups.
OnyxNews Nigeria reports that the information the presidency described as untrue reports going about that the United States government has placed Nigeria’s Minister of Communications, Isa Pantami on terror watch-list.

A report by Daily Independent says there is disquiet in the land at the weekend following an allegation that the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Alhaji Isa Ali Ibrahim, also known as Sheikh Pantami, has fallen on the watch list of America’s Intelligence Service.
It was also said that Pantami had ties with Abu Quatada al Falasimi and other Al-Qaeda leaders whom he revered and spoke highly of.
However, reacting to the reports earlier on Monday, April 12, Bashir Ahmad, Personal Assistant on New Media to President Muhammadu Buhari, described the claims as fake news.

The presidential aide maintained that the Minister has never been on any US watchlist.
”You have just endorsed a fake report without verifying. For your information @DrIsaPantami has never been on any US watchlist,” Bashir said while reacting to a post on the alleged wanted list.
