More Tension As Armedmen Kill 6 Policemen In Abia, Set Another Police Headquarters On Fire.
More information reaching OnyxNews Nigeria state unknown gunmen on Wednesday attacked Nkporo police station in Ohafia area of Abia State, and set the main building on fire.
This online news platform learnt that the gunmen who burnt exhibits, including motorcycles and cars at the station, also released some suspects in detention during the attack.
It was gathered that the situation was said to have left many residents and indigenes of the area confused.
Efforts to get Abia police spokesman Geoffrey Ogbonna were proved abortive.
He didn’t answer calls or respond to text messages.

This is coming barely two days after gunmen razed the Okigwe South Police Area Command situated in Orieagu in the Ehime Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State.
A police officer at the headquarters noted that the gunmen on arrival at the station opened fire on the cops who challenged them.
It was gathered that the gunmen also release all the suspects in the cells and carted away their arms.
The source further stated that not less than five policemen were shot dead by the attackers as they set the security facility on fire.

“Our area command headquarters in Okigwe south is on fire. Six policemen shot dead. They also freed the suspects before igniting a fire on the facility,” the source said.
Meanwhile, another source said, Imo, Anambra and Abia states are presently on curfew.
