BREAKING: Appeal Court Delivers Judgment On Suit Seeking Suspension Of PDP National Convention

Appeal Court has delivered a judgment on the suit seeking suspension of the PDP National Convention.
Onyxnewsng reports that the suit filed by Uche Secondus to challenge the forthcoming National Convention of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has been dismissed by the Appeal Court sitting in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.
This online news platform reports that Secondus, the embattled former National Chairman of the PDP, in an appeal marked CA/PH/ 339, had asked the Appeal Court to restrain the Nigeria’s main opposition party from conducting its National Convention slated for October 30 and 31, 2021.
However, the Appeal Court, while delivering judgment on Friday, set aside Secondus appeal.

All the three judges led by Justice Haruna Tsammani affirmed the ruling without any dissenting voice.
It would be recalled that Secondus was removed as the PDP Chairman following his feud with the governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike.
Secondus, thereafter approached the court through his Lawyer, Tayo Oyetubo, asking the Appeal Court to suspend the convention and grant him the right to preside over the exercise.
On the other hand, a popular journalist and former presidential candidate, Dele Momodu has joined the main opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
He announced his decision in a statement, saying it was based on the need to contribute meaningfully to the development of the country.
