BREAKING: Terrorists Kidnap DPO In Plateau
A group of alleged terrorists have abducted the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in charge of Pankshin Division in Plateau State’s Pankshin Local Government Area (LGA).
The police officer was kidnapped on Thursday at the Wokrori Hotel in Pankshin.
In the night same day, a police officer in the council area confirmed the development.
According to a source, resident of the area, said kidnapping has become rampant in the area recently and that everyone there lives in fear.
“The incident happened close to our house, as we just finished our night prayers with my family, we heard gunshots.
“We tried to find out what was going on and discovered that some armed men had gone to the Woktori hotel,” the source said.
“We learned this morning that the newly appointed DPO in Pankshin had been abducted by the kidnappers.
“We discovered that the man had only recently arrived and was staying at the hotel when they arrived to kidnap him.”
