Elections: CSO Raised Concern Over Pre-filled Result Sheet In Kogi

A civil society organization, Yiaga Africa, has raised concerns about the integrity of the governorship election in Kogi State, Nigeria.
They have brought to the attention of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) an alleged incident involving a pre-filled result sheet for the election.
Yiaga Africa shared a photo of the purported result sheet on its social media account just as voting was about to commence across the state.
According to statement tweeted at INEC By the Civil Society Organization, it is said that, “We received (a) report of (a) pre-filled results sheet discovered in PU 004, Eni Ward of Ogori/magongo in Kogi State, before the commencement of voting.
“Kindly investigate and address this issue promptly to safeguard the integrity of the process. ”
Furthermore, they posted another photo of a pre-filled result sheet specifically from Polling Unit 020 in Eika/Ohizenyi, Okehi Local Government Area of Kogi State.
As of the time this report was released, INEC had not yet responded to the issue. It is worth mentioning that a total of 18 candidates are participating in the governorship election in Kogi State.
