Basketmouth Set To Quit Comedy
Bright Okpocha, better known as Basketmouth, a highly respected comedian, has revealed his intention to retire from comedy after five more years.
The veteran comedian, currently 45 years old, aims to establish his own empire and explore various facets of the entertainment industry before calling it quits at the age of 50.
During an interview on Arise TV, Basketmouth shared his plans to conclude his comedy journey with a series of yearly comedy shows over the next five years.
Despite choosing comedy over a music career in the 1990s, he has always had a lingering passion for music and intends to fully embrace it once he transitions out of comedy.
His ultimate goal is to leave a lasting impact on the industry and establish a legacy that extends beyond comedy.
While Basketmouth’s decision may come as a surprise to some fans, it is not uncommon for artists to explore different avenues and evolve professionally.
By diversifying his involvement in various aspects of the entertainment industry, Basketmouth seeks to grow and challenge himself creatively.
This strategic move allows him to pursue new opportunities, expand his skill set, and leave a mark on the industry that encompasses his multiple talents and interests.
In essence, Basketmouth’s five-year plan represents a transition in his career, allowing him to retire from comedy while simultaneously embarking on a new chapter within the broader entertainment landscape.
This decision showcases his ambition, vision, and desire to leave a lasting impact on the entertainment industry as a whole.
“In five years, I will be 50 years old. I would have moved on to something else that would take up a lot of my time. I wish to put my all into it.
“I am confident that I will be able to combine all of my interests and completely enjoy films, TV shows, and concerts. Doing all of these things and still giving comedy your best will be difficult,” he said.
