Egypt Sack Head Coach, Rui Vitoria
Egypt head coach Rui Vitoria has been sacked by the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) following their disappointing performance in the Africa Cup of Nations.
The EFA expressed gratitude towards Vitoria and his staff in a statement, while also stating that they are currently reviewing resumes of foreign coaches.
In the meantime, former al-Ahly coach Mohamed Youssef will take over as interim coach for the national team.
Vitoria’s departure is part of a larger trend, as several AFCON coaches are expected to be replaced.
