Let Them Die Of Hunger Because They Deserve It, I’m Supporting Tinubu To Deal With Nigerians — Buba Galadima
Buba Galadima, a prominent figure in the New Nigeria Peoples Party, strongly criticized Nigerians for the widespread hunger and insecurity that he attributes to the administration of President Bola Tinubu.
He expressed his ironic “support” for Tinubu’s leadership in addressing these issues, given the warnings he had given about the consequences of voting for the All Progressives Congress (APC) following the challenges faced during Muhammadu Buhari’s tenure.
During an interview on ‘Untold Stories with Adesuwa,’ Galadima condemned Nigerians for allegedly selling their votes to the APC during the 2023 presidential election.
He emphasized the dire situation of hunger and the increasing cost of living in Nigeria, expressing a rather callous response.
Galadima’s remarks reflect his belief that Nigerians should face the repercussions of their political choices and actions, urging them to consider voting based on conscience rather than monetary incentives in future elections.
His statements reveal a critical perspective on the current state of affairs in Nigeria and the role of the electorate in shaping the country’s future.
He stated that, “I have nothing new to say… Let them die. It’s their fault… I am supporting Tinubu 100% to deal with Nigerians, so that when the next election comes, I will now see whether, when people bring money, you will vote for them or you will do your conscience.”
The elder statesman also advised Tinubu, saying, “One piece of advice I’ll give Tinubu, and he should know that this is the wisdom of our ancestors.
“If you’re a chief or a king, when everybody claps for you in the same pattern, you are in trouble because they are isolating you.
“So the best way to move forward is that all those close to you should never have one view. Let them disagree. That is what Europeans call divide and rule.
“If they are all tagging together, it means there is something they’re doing behind you. That is what every ruler, chairman, and president should do.”
