Candidates To Access 2024 UTME Result Soon — JAMB
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has finalized its plans to unveil the outcomes of the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination.
Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, the Registrar of JAMB, is set to conduct a press conference in Abuja on Monday to discuss the release of the results and relevant information.
This information was conveyed in a notice dispersed to journalists in the nation’s capital, Abuja, and made accessible by Fabian Benjamin, the Board’s Head of Public Relations, on Sunday.
It has been revealed that the results set to be disclosed on Monday pertain to candidates who participated in the UTME during the initial days of the examination period.
Subsequent results will be disclosed once the necessary “due diligence” processes have been finalized.
JAMB had previously clarified that the decision to postpone the release of the results for a brief period was to ensure thorough scrutiny.
This precautionary step was aimed at upholding the authenticity and reliability of the results and mitigating any uncertainties, particularly concerning issues like impersonation, discrepancies in biometric data, and other forms of examination malpractices.
Over the past week, a substantial number exceeding 1.9 million candidates registered for the 2024 UTME across more than 700 Computer-Based Test centers spread nationwide.
The 2024 examination, which commenced on Friday, April 19, 2024, is anticipated to conclude today.
This diligence in result scrutiny reflects JAMB’s commitment to maintaining the credibility and trustworthiness of the examination process, prioritizing fairness and transparency for all candidates involved.
