JUST IN: President Tinubu To Deliver National Address Sunday
President Bola Tinubu is scheduled to deliver a national address on Sunday, August 4, 2024, at 7:00 am.
This announcement was made by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, in a statement titled ‘President Tinubu to address the nation.’
Ngelale has encouraged television, radio, and other electronic media platforms to tune in to the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority and the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria for the broadcast.
The statement added, “The broadcast will be repeated on the network services of the NTA and the FRCN at 3:00 pm and 7:00 pm on the same day.”
Across various states in Nigeria, including Lagos, Oyo, and Abuja, protesters have taken to the streets to voice their grievances, which include demands such as the reversal of fuel subsidy removal and the increasing costs of goods and services in the country.
Unfortunately, the #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria protest has seen incidents of looting by hoodlums in regions like Kano and other northern areas.
Authorities are actively pursuing these individuals to recover stolen items and maintain order amidst the demonstrations.
