JUST IN: US President-elect Trump Arrives Washington Ahead Of Inauguration Ceremony 

The incoming president of the United States, Donald Trump, arrived in the Washington area on Saturday evening to kick off celebrations marking his return to power ahead of his inauguration ceremony.

Reports indicate that Trump traveled aboard an Air Force plane provided by outgoing President Joe Biden to his base in Palm Beach, Florida, where he is finalizing his transition following his victory over Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris in the November 5 election.

He was joined on the flight by his wife, Melania, as well as his daughter Ivanka and her husband, Jared Kushner.

After landing at Dulles Airport in suburban Virginia, Trump made his way to his golf club in Sterling, Virginia, located just outside of Washington.

An Elvis Presley impersonator, Leo Days, entertained the incoming president and first lady prior to a reception attended by approximately 500 guests, accompanied by a fireworks display.

At 78 years old, the president-elect is scheduled to hold a rally with his supporters at the Capital One Arena in downtown Washington on Sunday, the day before his inauguration, along with a post-inauguration event set for Monday afternoon.

Due to forecasts of frigid weather on Monday, Trump has opted to move the inauguration ceremonies from the iconic west front of the U.S. Capitol building inside to the Capitol Rotunda, and the parade along Pennsylvania Avenue to the Capital One Arena.

During the ceremony in the Capitol Rotunda, Trump will be sworn in at 12 p.m. ET (1700 GMT) and will then deliver an inaugural address, a speech that traditionally sets the tone for his presidency over the next four years.
