Oyintiloye to Tinubu: Take Swift Action as Kidnapping Grips Nigerian Communities
As fear continues to grip Nigerian communities over rising incidents of kidnapping, Hon. Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, a leading figure in Osun State’s APC, has called on President Bola Tinubu to take immediate and comprehensive measures to stem the tide of insecurity.
Speaking through a statement issued in Osogbo, Oyintiloye lamented the trauma endured by victims and their families, describing the spate of abductions as a direct threat to everyday life and national stability.
“The safety of ordinary Nigerians is being threatened daily. It’s time for aggressive, coordinated action to restore peace to our communities,” he stated.
He acknowledged the strides made by security agencies but warned that without sustained effort and stronger intelligence-sharing between federal and local forces, the country risks backsliding into lawlessness.
Oyintiloye highlighted the role of citizens in the fight against insecurity, urging them to report criminal activities to the authorities and foster a culture of vigilance and collaboration.
He concluded by calling for prompt prosecution of perpetrators and applauded President Tinubu’s commitment to a safer Nigeria, emphasizing that peace and stability remain the foundation for economic and social progress.
