Lagos Hotelier Passes Away During Wife’s 60th Birthday Thanksgiving Service

Otunba Kunle Akinyele, a Lagos hotelier and owner of Ologbo Nla Hotel, collapsed and died during the thanksgiving service celebrating his wife’s 60th birthday at Christ Apostolic Church, Egbeda, on Saturday.
A video posted online shows him visibly distressed, signaling for help before collapsing. The thanksgiving was followed by plans for a reception at Noble Castle Events Centre, which was cancelled after the incident.
Vendors and guests were left in shock as the news spread. Many on social media expressed sorrow and urged men to prioritize their health. The exact cause of death remains unconfirmed by authorities.
