President Tinubu Joins Global Leaders at Vatican for Pope Leo XIV’s Inauguration

In a historic moment at the Vatican today, Nigerian President Bola Tinubu joined millions of Catholics and world leaders to witness the inauguration of Pope Leo XIV. Invited personally by the Pope, Tinubu reflected on the significance of the new papacy for Nigeria and the world.
“Pope Leo XIV’s humility and his connection to Nigeria inspire hope,” the President remarked. “His message of peace is exactly the kind of moral leadership the world needs right now.”
Highlighting Nigeria’s diverse spiritual landscape, Tinubu said, “Our nation is dedicated to fostering unity across different beliefs and races, working towards peace and progress for humanity.”
He ended with a heartfelt blessing: “May the Almighty guide the Holy Father and strengthen all who labour for a more just and compassionate world.”
