Bayer Leverkusen Secures Erik ten Hag as Head Coach Until 2027
In a significant move for German football, Bayer 04 Leverkusen has announced the hiring of Erik ten Hag as their new head coach. The Dutch manager, aged 54, has committed to a contract that will keep him in charge until June 2027.
The club’s official social media channels shared the news with excitement: “Let’s get started! Erik ten Hag signs with Bayer 04 as our new head coach until 2027!”
Ten Hag takes over from former coach Xabi Alonso, who enjoyed success with Leverkusen before his departure. The appointment comes after Ten Hag emerged as the frontrunner for the role, following Alonso’s exit.
Leverkusen’s two-year contract with Ten Hag underscores their ambition to build a strong future under his leadership through the upcoming seasons.
